“Days Of Our Lives” has basically been counted out of the competition between the other three daytime soaps “The Bold And The Beautiful,” “The Young And The Restless,” and “General Hospital,” over the past few years. For a while, there was even talk that the NBC soap opera could be cancelled by the network. But, it looks like “DOOL” is back in the game, and giving “GH” and “Bold” a run for their money.

According to “Days Of Our Lives” news from Serial Scoop, “In the key daytime demo of women 18-49, “Days of Our Lives” rose week to week by 10% to a 0.87 rating, ranking fourth among all daytime network series. It was neck-and-neck with both ABC’s “General Hospital” (0.88) and CBS’ “Bold and the Beautiful” (0.86) after trailing both shows by more than 10% in the comparable week of last year.” At one point, even die-hard “DOOL” fans doubted the show would never be restored to its former ratings glory – but that might not be the case!
Now, the true test will be whether or not “Days Of Our Lives” can sustain those amazing numbers once November Sweeps and the 50th Anniversary celebration is over, and the iconic “DOOL” cast members make their ways back out of Salem.
