Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) News: Camila Banus Joins Cast Of FX Drama ‘Snowfall’

“Day of Our Lives” star, Camila Banus was cast for FX pilot series, “Snowfall!” The new gig is a huge score for Banus to spread her wings outside of Daytime TV and get her feet wet in prime TV. The actress portrays Gabi on “DAYS.” The pilot is set to star former “As the World Turns” stars Billy Magnussen and Tim Matheson. It will be directed by John Singleton, according to Deadline.

The show is set in the 1980s at the height of the drug craze in Los Angeles. “Snowfall!” focuses on three main characters: an ex-wrestler turned gangster Gustavo Zapata (Sergio Peris-Mencheta), a money hungry drug dealer Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), and rich kid Logan Miller (Billy Magnussen). Time Matheson will portray George Miller, Logan’s father an oil tycoon that is a very influential man in Los Angeles. He isn’t thrilled about Logan’s involvement with shady people.

Camila will play the role of Lucia Villanueva, daughter of a successful and ruthless drug dealer. She is accustomed to getting everything she wanted, whenever she wants it. She grew up around some pretty ruthless people, she knows if she wants something, she must take it- by any means necessary.  Multiple media sources are reporting that she will have at least a one-year contract with FX portraying Lucia, as well as her role, Gabi on “Days of Our Lives.”
