‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Alison Sweeney Volunteers At City Of Hope, Shares New Movie With Patients

‘Days Of Our Lives’ star Alison Sweeney has been the fitness ambassador for City of Hope for just over a year. On November 19 Sweeney had the opportunity to tour the pediatric wing according to a blog post written by Alison for SheKnows. Alison wrote that she has always been impressed by City of Hope’s research facility. Visiting children with cancer made the “DOOL” actress even more grateful for the brave people she has in her life.

One of the young people Alison Sweeney met was a 19-year-old young woman named Nicole who was diagnosed with cancer at age 14. Sweeney was deeply touched by Nicole’s story, explaining that Nicole considers City of Hope her second home. Nicole told Alison all about her desire to get healthy and live life to the fullest.

City of Hope streamed Alison’s new movie “Murder She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery” throughout the hospital. City of Hope filled the audience with patients and cancer survivors who love a good mystery. It gave everyone a chance to share happy moments. Alison also brought along a healthy snack – homemade trail mix. Everyone enjoyed the mixture of unsalted toasted almonds, dried blueberries, and a few dark chocolate chips. We certainly hope Alison will share that trail mix recipe with everyone.

“DOOL” fans got to talk to Alison Sweeney about her return to the daytime drama as well as give opinions about Norman vs. Mike in the “Murder She Baked Series.” Alison was joined at City of Hope by her husband, her real-life mom and TV mom Barbara Niven.

“Days of Our Lives” fans can catch Alison’s movie “Murder She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery” Sunday, November 22 at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. Will you be watching?
