‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Alexandra Shipp Stars In ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ – Watch Former ‘DOOL’ Star In Trailer

The ‘X-Men: Apocalypse‘ trailer is finally here, the internet is buzzing over the highly anticipated new promo video – and ‘Days Of Our Lives‘ fans are thrilled to see a familiar face in the movie.  News broke earlier this year that ‘Days Of Our Lives’ star Alexandra Shipp had landed a coveted spot in the wildly popular ‘X-Men‘ movie as “Ororo Munroe”, aka “Storm” and she looks AMAZING!

‘Days Of Our Lives’ fans will recognize Alexandra Shipp as Marybeth, Paige’s (True O’Brien) trusty sidekick who strongly disliked Paige’s boyfriend JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss).  Marybeth didn’t get a whole lot of screen time in Salem, she basically was just around to help move the Paige and JJ storylines.  After Paige’s death and tragic exit – Marybeth basically fizzled out all together.  Most likely because Shipp was busy filming a major blockbuster.

Starring in ‘X-Men Apocalypse‘ along side major names like Jennifer Lawrence and Hugh Jackman is a HUGE opportunity for Alexandra Shipp, and ‘Days Of Our Lives’ fans couldn’t be more proud of her.  This is the kind of “big break” that soap stars dream of.  Of course, Alexandra Shipp didn’t just “get lucky” – she has been honing her acting skills for years and working her butt off, besides ‘Days Of Our Lives’ Shipp also recently starred in the Lifetime biopic ‘Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B’ and ‘Drumline: A New Beat.‘  And more recently the very popular film ‘Straight Outta Compton.’
