“Days of Our Lives” has really been hitting all the marks of a good soap lately. From romance and drama to action and adventure, DOOL is making sure they have it covered. Of course, Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail’s (Kate Mansi) love story has played a huge role in pushing “Days” to the top of its game. Many viewers agree that “Chabby” is simply meant to be. Here are five reasons we love Chad and Abigail together:

They could be a supercouple for a new generation.

The term supercouple shouldn’t be handed out to just any dynamic duo. It’s a title that must be earned. However, Chad and Abigail are arguably reaching that status. It’s time for “Days of Our Lives” to set a younger pairing in stone so that they can have them grow closer through the years. All soap couples have problems and they may even turn elsewhere for love occasionally. Nevertheless, true supercouples always manage to find their way back to their soulmates. That’s exactly what DOOL fans are hoping will happen with Abigail and Chad.

Billy Flynn and Kate Mansi have serious chemistry.

It would be a mistake to talk about Chad and Abigail’s spark without calling attention to the powerful chemistry their portrayers have. There’s no doubt that Flynn and Mansi are incredibly talented performers. Somehow these two are able to create absolute magic on the een. We’ve seen Chad and Abigail paired up with other love interests, but it’s never quite the same. “Chabby” just has that special something that’s almost indescribable.

They can’t resist each other.

When Abigail fell for Chad, she fell hard. In fact, Chad was responsible for tenderly deflowering the young Deveraux. Chad even faked a brain tumor to hold onto Abby. He knew it was wrong, but he was desperate to keep his love. Likewise, Abigail couldn’t resist indulging in an all-night encounter with Chad on the DiMera property. Abby was committed to Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), but she never stopped pining for Chad. Sometimes Chad and Abigail’s desires get them into trouble, but we can’t help but love how much they yearn for one another.

Chad is a DiMera and that name comes with a black mark in Salem. Though Chad is constantly trying to prove he’s not like the rest of his family, he typically gets tangled up in their schemes anyway. That’s probably why people warned Abigail to head for the hills. Still, the heart wants what it wants. Chad and Abigail are almost like a modern-day version of Romeo and Juliet. These star-crossed lovers want to be a couple, but something always seems to pull them apart. Fortunately, the angst somehow makes their brief moments of happiness more enjoyable.

They’re willing to fight for love.

Abigail and Chad have a certain intuition about each other. When Chad was accused of murder, Abigail was convinced he was innocent. Even when her own fiancé claimed Chad tried to kill him, Abby was hesitant to believe her former flame could truly be the guilty party.

Similarly, Chad knew that Abigail wouldn’t just skip town without telling anyone. He found Abby at the cabin and saved her from the fire Ben started. Chad stepped up again to find Abigail’s baby and now she’s returning the favor by trying to uncover the whole brainwashing plot. Bottom line, they’ll do anything for love. “Days of Our Lives” viewers wouldn’t have it any other way.
