‘Days of Our Lives’ Interview: Robert Scott Wilson Dishes on Ben’s Boiling Point, Praises Character’s Dark Shift

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers tease that Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) will continue to stir up trouble for Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail (Kate Mansi). Fortunately, Ben’s portrayer wouldn’t have it any other way. In a recent interview with Serial Scoop, Robert Scott Wilson dished about what Ben has been through and where he’ll go from here.

When asked about the new writing regime, Wilson offered plenty of praise. DOOL fans have seen a major shift in Ben and Wilson has been pleased with the chance to grow in his role. “They wrote me an amazing story, which ended up being the threat of the entire show. They trusted me with it,” Wilson said. “They gave me a ball to run with and I seized the opportunity.”

Ben has always had a hot temper, but playing a murderer was a big leap for the actor. Still, Wilson believes there’s something in Ben that people can relate to. “Whether we’ve been cheated on or hurt, whatever—we all have a little piece of Ben Weston inside of us,” Wilson said. “I’m not saying we’re all killers or are willing to do things that are that extreme, but we’ve all been hurt. And sooner or later, there’s a boiling point.”

DOOL viewers have certainly watched the tension erupt and we’re about to see Ben explode once again. “Days of Our Lives” spoilers say Ben will set a fire in hopes that the flames will consume Chad and Abigail. Ben is quite a character and Wilson admitted he wouldn’t trade places with anyone else on the show. “I love Ben—what he’s turned into, what he can do. Coming back, the way people look at and treat him now. There’s more opportunity that ever to be Ben,” Wilson noted.

It looks like Wilson has taken full advantage of Ben’s villainous turn, but DOOL rumors hint that his time in Salem could be winding down soon. Nevertheless, Wilson is grateful to have been given a fantastic storyline and ample airtime. Wilson gushed,“ ‘Days’ has been amazing to me.
