In a new exclusive interview with People Magazine, DOOL actress Deidre Hall sat down to dish on some of her crazy storylines over the years, and of course the “Days Of Our Lives” 50th anniversary. While Hall was chatting with the interviewer, she revealed that she almost didn’t even take the part of Marlena Evans! Can you imagine “Days Of Our Lives” for the past 35 years without Hall?!
The “Days Of Our Lives” actress dished to People Magazine that she intimidated by the other women that were auditioning for the part. When she learned that NBC had chosen her over all of the other women – she turned them down, she thought there was some sort of catch. Hall explained, “I thought something must be wrong with the part.” The producers continued to hound Deidre’s agent, and he was able to finally convince her to join the daytime drama. Thank goodness for that!
During Deidre’s exclusive interview with People Magazine, Hall also discussed some of her favorite DOOL storylines over the years – including when Marlena was possessed by demons! Deidre teased that the special effects team really did get her to levitate while they were filming, “I can’t tell you how we did it because I was contracted not to, but I really did lift off the bed.”
