The character of Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) was introduced to the residents of Salem in 1982.  The character is the Patriarch of the “Days of Our Lives” DiMera family and one of the best villains on Daytime TV.  Stefano has been killed many times and has come back stronger each time he holds the record for the post faked deaths.
