‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) News: Casting Call For SIX New Characters Released

“Days Of Our Lives” spoilers tease that there will be a ton of new faces in Salem in 2016. The casting department for the NBC soap opera just put out not one – but six new characters. Soap Opera Digest’s DOOL spoilers tease that the new roles will begin filming scenes in November. Of course, “Days Of Our Lives” is the only remaining soap opera that shoots several months in advance, so we won’t actually see the new characters until sometime in the spring of 2016.

According to Soap Opera Digest, here is a list of the new characters headed to “Days Of Our Lives,” it looks like they will be in town for brief story arcs, nothing necessarily permanent at this point.
Mark – a gorgeous 17 or 18-year-old popular jock whose father is a strict judge, which makes Mark rebellious.
Hal – a 38-45 year old gorgeous man who is the father of an 19-year old girl.
Clark- a 38-46-year old who is described as a “hot bad boy.”
Simone – a beautiful hippie chick in her late 30s, preferably Spanish, Asian, or African American decent.
Judge Avery – a 50-to-55-year old judge who finds his property vandalized by teenagers.
Dr. Robinson – a 40-to-50-year old psychiatrist, who will be either African American or Asian.

It sounds like they are beefing up the Salem teen scene, and bringing in some new “bad kids” to keep Salem interesting. DOOL fans can’t really be surprised that they are bringing in so many new faces, the Salem population has been drastically dwindling courtesy of their neighborhood serial killer.
