‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Interview: Stephen Nichols Talks Patch, His Hunt For Bo, Stefan Cassadine and more

Stephen Nichols returns as Steve “Patch” Johnson on “Days of Our Lives” this week, according to Michael Fairman on Monday. He got the scoop from Stephen about his “Days” return. He hinted there could be a few tense moments between Patch and his former lady, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans).

When Patch returns to Salem, he will be in quite a pickle. He will need to have some sort of explanation about his whereabouts for the last few years. Nichols said to expect quite a bit of family drama as a result of his return. He explains that he will not be welcomed home by anyone, especially Kayla. He reveals to her that he wants to reconcile, and she wants no part in it. She doesn’t understand how a person can be away for years and years, and they come home expecting to pick up where they left off?

Kayla decided years ago she didn’t want to put up with any more drama from Patch. He will be on the hunt to find Bo (Peter Reckell). He talked with Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and she revealed that Bo just packed up and left. He doesn’t understand why he’d do that. He has known Bo since he was a teenager, and he is not the type to abandon his family. He decides then and there he must find him to find out why he deserted his family.

Nichols explains that Patch is not thrilled with Aidan (Daniel Cosgrave) and Hope’s engagement. In his eyes, Hope is his best friend’s wife. He feels that something isn’t right about Aidan- but at the time, he is the only one who feels that way. Could Aidan have a dark secret that he is trying to hide from Hope? Both Hope and Bo are not happy with Patch in general- after all- he disappeared just like Bo years ago. Patch will have to do damage control to repair his relationship with Kayla.

As for coming back as Stefan Cassadine on “General Hospital,” he doesn’t see it happening. He said, “They would have to make a serious offer to me, and I don’t see them doing it. They offered me a one-day appearance for the Nurse’s ball, and I declined.” Will Patch be able to find Bo and reunite him with Hope? Will Kayla and Patch mend their relationship?
