‘Days of Our Lives’ Casting News: General Hospital Star Thaao Penghlis Returns to DOOL – A Martinez Hired as New Character

Soap Opera Digest has recently revealed that Thaao Penghlis, the actor who has played both Tony and Andrew DiMera on Days of Our Lives, has returned to set and is filming for an upcoming appearance on the daytime soap.

Thaao recently took to Twitter addressing his return to Days of Our Lives and said, “I cannot tell how great it was going back to DOOL set on contract and to be embraced by so many.” As Keny Corday said, ‘Welcome back to the family.’”

Fans shared supportive messages on the social media site and expressed their excitement for Thaao’s return. One fan writes, “SO happy that you’re back! I hope we get to see lots of you.” Another fan shared how excited and surprised she was by the tweet; “Welcome back, I didn’t know you ere back till you wrote this.”

All in all, fans are certainly very excited to see Thaao Penghlis return to Days of Our Lives.

In addition, fan favorite and Daytime Emmy winner A Martinez will be joining the cast of Days of Our Lives also.

Martinez is most known for his work as Cruz Castillo on the classic soap opera, Santa Barbara, and now he is ready to join the town of Salem beginning this fall.

More information regarding these two will be released soon, but for now there are a ton of rumors flying regarding who A Martinez will portray in the Days of Our Lives world. One of the most popular rumor is that A Martinez will play the father of Gabi Hernandez and Rafe Hernandez.
