‘Days of Our Lives’ Casting News: Building Up Teen Actors; Now Casting 15-Year-Old “Claire”

“Days of Our Lives” is certainly planning something for this upcoming season involving a lot of teenagers. We recently reported that Days of Our Lives was looking to cast a 16 or 17-year-old brunette girl to play the role a character named Danielle.

The casting call described Danielle by saying, “She, at times, can seem selfish and cruel and controlling when she is in certain social situations in which she feels backed into a corner. At her core though, she is a very good person.” It goes onto describe Danielle as a loving person who has unfortunately had to go through a great amount of loss and pain in her young life.

Then, we reported that Days of Our Lives was casting a young man, also 16 to 17 years old, to be contracted to play the new character Mason. Mason is described as an attractive teenager, who like Danielle, has also gone through a lot of suffering throughout his life.

Lastly, it was recently revealed that the Johnson family would be coming back to Salem and this time, Steve and Kayla’s now teenage son, Joey, will be playing a bigger role in the series. Actor James Lastovic was casted to play Joey, and is set to begin making appearances in the late summer.

Now, according to Soap Opera Digest, “Days of Our Lives” is looking to cast the role of Claire, who is presumable the daughter of Shawn and Belle, born in 2005. The directors are looking for a 15-year-old girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. According to the site, they would also like Claire to be able to sing. Claire is described as a quirky girl who loves music and art. You can expect to see Claire joining the Days of Our Lives family beginning in early June.
