SudsvilleTV.com is preparing to premiere their brand new soap opera “Year Rounders” sometime late this fall, and after weeks of speculation over who would star in the brand new soap opera, creator Meg Kelly has finally revealed the first actress to book a role in Year Rounders.
Meg Kelly has confirmed to Soap Opera Digest that former All My Children fan favorite, Alicia Minshew, who played Kendall Hart Slater on AMC, has been booked as the first performer to join the cast of Kelly’s new soap opera.
According to Kelly, Minshew will play the role of Georgina Phillips, who has been described as “ a slightly tarnished trophy wife with a bad prenup.” Meg Kelly goes onto reveal that Alicia Minshew will almost be unrecognizable in Year Rounders and said that fans should be ready to see a different look than Minshew has ever played before. Kelly says, “That’s where makeup comes in. Nothing like a blond wig and an orange tan to age a woman.”
When Alicia Minshew left All My Children she said she would miss her character Kendall Hart, but was ready for the future. In an interview with Fashion N Style, Minshew said, “I’ve been lucky! When the show went off the air, I thought this is a whole new chapter and I’m going to go with the flow and just see what comes my way…She [Kendall] was a fun character to play. Definitely, a little part of you is missing when you play someone for that long.”
The officials description of Year Rounders reads, “Welcome to St. George, a once upon a time New England fishing village that has become a summer playground for the wealthy.” If that sounds like something you would be interesting in, and let’s be honest, why wouldn’t you be, be sure to tune-in sometime in early December to catch the premiere of Year Rounders. After the premiere, the show will air online every Thursday.
