‘All My Children’ (AMC) News: Alum Kelli Giddish Welcomes First Baby With Lawrence Faulborn

“All My Children” (AMC) alum Kelli Giddish (Di Henry) welcomed her first child with husband Lawrence Faulborn. The actress made the birth announcement on Twitter – his name is Ludo and he was born on October 6. Her pregnancy was written into “Law & Order: SVU” for her character Det. Amanda Rollins. Season 17 of the NBC drama will explore the mystery of the paternity of Det. Rollins baby.

“We are so happy to welcome little Ludo” the actress said in her tweet. The photo is in black and white and shows a tiny baby foot in a grown man’s hand – at least it looks like a man’s hand. Kelli and Lawrence were married in June 2015 and made the announcement that they were expecting in July 2015.

In case you don’t remember Kelli on “All My Children”– she was part of a storyline involving a Dixie Martin look-a-like. At first it was believed that Di was actually a returned-from-the-dead Dixie. Giddish received a Daytime Emmy pre-nomination for Outstanding Younger Actress in 2006. That didn’t keep her off the chopping block. The Di Henry storyline lost its sizzle after Cady McClain returned as the real Dixie. Eventually TPTB at “AMC” decided to kill off the character of Dixie Martin – and though Di Henry didn’t die – she left the show around the same time.

After leaving “All My Children” Kelli had several guest-starring roles on primetime television. In 2007 she appeared as the character Kara Bawson on one episode of “Law & Order: SVU” and as Dana Stipe on an episode of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” She became a full-time cast member of “Law & Order: SVU” in 2011 – and her character has crossed over onto the NBC dramas “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.”

Welcome to baby Ludo and congratulations to Kelli Giddish and hubby Lawrence Faulborn who have had an exciting and busy 2015! Kelli may know who the father of her baby boy is but as season 17 of “Law & Order: SVU” unfolds viewers will find out who is the father of Det. Amanda Rollins baby.
