Cornelius Smith Jr., the actor who played Frankie Hubbard on All My Children, has landed himself a role on the hit TV series Scandal. It looks like Olivia Pope will be getting another regular Gladiator to interact with on the fifth season of Scandal.
Cornelius Smith Jr. had a recurring role on the fourth season of Scandal as Marcus Walker and appeared in two episodes. Now, TVLine has confirmed that Cornelius Smith Jr. will reprise his role as Marcus Walker on the fifth season of Scandal, and that his character has been upgraded to a series regular.
Cornelius Smith Jr. first appeared on Scandal in the Ferguson-inspired episode of Scandal, which aired on March 5, titled “The Lawn Chair.” Smith Jr.’s character, Marcus Walker, was an activist working with Olivia Pope for equality. As of now, many details regarding the return of Marcus Walker are being kept under wraps, but that is not keeping fans from being excited regarding a new series regular.
In addition to appearing on All My Children, Cornelius Smith Jr. has appeared in shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Forever.
