Y&R Spoilers: Trevor St. John’s Exit – Is Tucker McCall Leaving GC, Too Or Is A Recast Coming?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers note that actor Trevor St. John sent the social media world buzzing when he posted about his exit from the soap on Tuesday, June 18.

In a series of tweets on X (formerly known as Twitter), St. John made it clear he was leaving Genoa City, but is Tucker McCall on his way out, too?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Trevor St. John’s First Tweet Was Interesting

St. John posted three tweets explaining his exit as Tucker. In the first one, he writes, “#YoungandRestless fans: As you well know, Tuckers come and Tuckers go, and so the cycle continues … this Tucker is in his go phase …”

He added #YR and tagged Young and the Restless X handles to the initial post, as well as the second, and third.

Still, it’s interesting that St. John pointed out in the first X post that “this Tucker” was in his “go” phase. It seemed to almost imply that while he was leaving the show, McCall might stick around.

Y&R Spoilers – The Role Of Tucker McCall Has Been Recast Often

St. John was recast as Tucker McCall in 2022. Actor Willaim Russ originated the role in 2009, playing the rich corporate tycoon; however, he had a short stint, exiting in 2010.

Actor Stephen Nichols, who currently plays iconic Days of Our Lives character Steve Johnson, stepped into Tucker’s shoes from 2010 to 2013, and close to a decade later, Tucker returned with a new face (and new attitude) in Trevor St. John.

St. John added an interesting element to the ever-conniving McCall, with charming and humorous anecdotes in his portrayal that won over Y&R fans everywhere. Trevor’s Tucker not only schemed but he also acted as comedic relief when the drama felt like a little too much in GC.

McCall is currently locked into an interesting storyline; however, the way things are unraveling it’s easy to see that his character may be on his way out.

His company, Glissade, was taken over by Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and her “secret investor” Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). “Taudra” is no longer a thing, and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) recently advised Tucker (ever so gently) that he should let go of Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).

He’s on the outs with his son Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James), so it wouldn’t be overly shocking if McCall decided to cut his losses and leave Genoa City … for now.
