The Young and the Restless Spoilers: The Hilary Hour is Outstanding – Devon Still Smitten, Hope For Hevon?

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) debuted her new show on ‘The Young and the Restless’. ‘The Hilary Hour’ seemed to be a pretense for a vanity show. Like Mariah (Camryn Grimes), most Y&R’s viewers were taken aback when Hilary actually delivered a terrific show. The vulnerability she projected was real and engaged audiences in both realms.

As Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood), George (George Gray from ‘The Price is Right’) and Devon (Bryton James) watched, Hilary told viewers that she was responsible for the end of her marriage. Having finalized her divorce earlier in the day, Miss Curtis evidenced personal growth that both surprising and encouraging.

‘Hevon’ fans should be asking themselves if both Hilary and Devon are better off apart, or at least are better off apart for now? It now seems irrefutable that these lovebirds were involved in a dysfunctional relationship that wasn’t going to improve. Time apart from Devon has allowed Hilary to participate in deep self-reflection, the results of which were humbling.

Devon should stay away from GC Buzz. While his friendship with Mariah might develop into a relationship, he doesn’t need to be at the studio while she’s working. And he certainly should not be offering his take to Hilary about how she should handle the business.

Hilary proved true to her word. She only wanted the website in the divorce settlement. She’s also trying to move past ‘Hevon’ by pairing with Jordan. Devon should take her cue and fully embrace the next part of his life as well.

Choosing to partner with his adoptive father is wise. Neil (Kristoff St. John) eventually steadied his life after splitting from Hilary himself. He’s been out of the corporate game for awhile, but offers Devon a trusted source who will be helpful in jump-starting their company.

Devon doesn’t need to focus on business exclusively. But co-founding a company takes total commitment in order to potentially achieve success. That time commitment will also likely allow the still-open wound that ‘Hevon’s’ end caused to heal.
