The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nikki Holds Power Over Victor – Checkmate Now Possible

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) knows Victor (Eric Braeden) better than anyone on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Now, as Scott (Daniel Hall) continues to interview subjects for his commissioned book, Mrs. Victor Newman stands as the most powerful chessboard piece. As fans of this ancient mind game know best, the queen often rules.

Putting on a good face for Jack (Peter Bergman) at the Top of the Tower led to a glimpse of Sharon (Sharon Case) and Scott (Daniel Hall) sitting together.

Nikki didn’t know that they had become friendly, but she used their presence to reacquaint Jack (Peter Bergman) with Lauren’s (Tracey Bregman) son. That form of manipulation therefore enabled Jack to offer his services to Scott in the near future.

Victor’s darling doesn’t have to tell all, instead she can point various enemies in Scott’s direction.

Various Genoa City personalities, including both current and past residents, will certainly overfill Mr. Grainger’s digital files. Being a sharp professional, he’ll soon catch onto Nikki’s game.

Along the way Scott will surely consider whether the bulk of the information he’s receiving is slanted. While Victor has initially allowed his biographer to maintain editorial discretion, he’ll also have his own say. Somewhat similar to a court case, where the defendant replies after first being asked the question.

Victor generally has many advantages, including full knowledge of his own history and the interaction he’s had with named players. However, in this instance Nikki is a dangerous wild card. If her attempts to have others peel off Victor’s mask don’t serve to fully reveal his soul, she’ll have a decision to make.

Will Nikki tell what she knows about Victor’s link to Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and by association, Adam’s (Justin Hartley) death? Doing so would surely impact Newman Enterprises, as Scott would feel compelled to tell the authorities. And if that doesn’t happen, Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) website will be primed for leaked information. Yes, either outcome means that King Victor would find himself in checkmate.
