The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nick Wears Moustache – Victor Rightfully Kept in the Dark

Nick (Joshua Morrow) mimicked the master on ‘The Young and the Restless’. When asked by his father what Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) next move was, he said that she didn’t have one. Victor (Eric Braeden) is being setup for a fall. Whether that happens is a good question.

An emoji of the Newman family’s current feeling would certainly show a yellow-faced grimace. Victor’s moustachioed emoji would be peering back at his clan, asserting that all he’d done was in their best interests. Yes, readers it’s okay to create Victor’s digital illustration right now.

Meanwhile, back in Genoa City Nick just encouraged his girlfriend to find Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). His advice directly contradicted what Victor asked him to do. While Nick did the right thing, he’s still not off the hook.

Chelsea will be furious and surely hurt when she learns that Nick withheld the truth from him about Victor’s involvement in Chloe’s initial recruitment last summer and recent escape from Wisconsin. Nick knows that if he came clean Chelsea might not be able to contain herself. So he’s chosen to gamble.

Nick hopes that Chelsea finds Chloe and that she then rats out Victor. Despite what Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) advised, Nick isn’t going to cover for his father. Allowing Chelsea to pursue the woman who’s perceived as Adam’s (Justin Hartley) killer furthers hoped-for justice.

Even though Chloe manipulated Victor on a number of occasions, he’s still shrewd where his family is concerned. It seems plausible to believe that the ‘Black Knight’ will grow suspicious of Nick’s reports, if he maintains that Chelsea has moved past wanting to locate her former best friend.

While Nick asked Chelsea to keep her efforts between them, she’s likely to confide in Victor again. She trusts her father-in-law and has no inkling that his past actions led to the death of her husband. If Victor is eventually exposed, he’ll have the option of revealing Nick’s preexisting knowledge. But is that something the ‘Moustache’ in real or emoji form would do?
