Nick (Joshua Morrow) has a choice to make on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He has the power to stabilize his relationship with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), even though ‘Chick’ would face strife in the short-term. That’s why he must come clean with the woman who has become his significant other.

Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) apparent death was shocking, even by soap standards. The length of Hendrickson’s stay on Y&R (2008-2017) allowed her to have carved a nice within the audience base. She’s a terrific actor who made Chloe’s storylines engaging in every instance and will be fondly remembered.

Of course her character might not actually be dead, or Hendrickson could return as some other character at some point. But let’s not get ahead of the current soapy story.
Victor’s (Eric Braeden) hands are dirty in this instance. He’s the one who coerced Dr. Harris (Ron Melendez) to authorize Chloe’s release from a secure mental health facility. The ‘Moustache’ did that so she would help him frame Adam (Justin Hartley) for the murder of Constance Bingham (Sally Kellerman), which of course was a ruse.
Unleashing someone like Chloe on Genoa City’s general population proved to be disastrous. She’s believed to be Adam’s killer and violently knocked Chelsea out at the Chancellor mansion on the day of ‘Khloe’s’ attempted third marriage.
So why does ‘Chick’ matter? Well, if Nick brings himself to tell Chelsea about his father’s involvement in this sordid matter and also reveals when he confirmed that fact he’ll have a chance to continue raising Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen).
Chelsea would certainly be mad that Nick withheld that information from her, but she would probably be open to seeing his side of things. That frame of mind would also enable her continuing to keep ‘Chadam’s’ secret about Christian’s true paternity.
If Nick doesn’t tell Chelsea the truth now and she later learns the whole story, she’ll be furious and likely unforgiving. Then she’ll feel compelled to legally take Nick’s boy, who’s actually Adam’s biological son.
