The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Devon Puts Cane On Notice – Hilary Threatened By Her Target

Cane (Daniel Goddard) was warned and made a threat on ‘The Young and the Restless’. His brother-in-law Devon (Bryton James) put him on notice, telling Cane that they’d have a problem if he’d lied to Lily (Christel Khalil). Later that day Hilary (Mishael Morgan) was threatened by Mr. Ashby as well.

All viewers and every character on Y&R, except Juliet (Laur Allen), don’t actually know what really happened in the now infamous Tokyo hotel suite. Has Cane repressed the truth, or been lying the entire time? Did Juliet and Cane spend the night together and if so, what did they actually do? Did Juliet set Cane up and work with the hotel staff to doctor security footage?

Many questions remain open in this he-said, she-said scenario. Just another bit of evidence about how the legal system is used by secular society to seek revenge. Yes, humility and benefit-of-the doubt are cast aside in that often soulless philosophy of life.

Devon is naturally being protective of his sister. Mr. Hamilton came from a broken home, where his biological father Tucker (most recently played by Stephen Nichols) was absent and his biological mother Yolanda (most recently played by Debbi Morgan) had serious addiction issues. That backstory allowed Devon to deeply value Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Dru (Victoria Rowell) having adopted him, which made Lily kin.

Hilary should be deeply concerned about the outcome of Juliet’s legal action. If Miss Helton happens to win, Cane will likely seek retribution. Juliet will be his main target, while Hilary will be number 2.

At this point there’s no way to know how this matter will play out. It’s possible that Michael (Christian LeBlanc) will be able to refute Juliet’s claims, or at least damage her credibility. But even if that happens legal outcomes will remain unpredictable until a ruling is made.

Sake ignited this story. If Cane hadn’t drank so much and therefore made himself vulnerable he wouldn’t found himself in the shape he was in the morning after that binge, or in the bad position that he’s now been forced to occupy.
