‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Chloe Counting Blessings As New Year Begins – Kevin’s Love Secure For Now, Chloe’s Secret Won’t Stay Safe Forever

Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) should be very grateful on ‘The Young and the Restless’ as 2017 begins. Considering all that she did in 2016, her daughter (Bella, Cali May Kinder) and significant other (Kevin, Greg Rikaart) are still by her side. No one actually knows all the missteps Chloe made, which is to her credit.

It’s incredibly generous to label any of Chloe’s actions as missteps, yet this is soap and seeming renewal exists. In order, she stole Billy’s (then played by Billy Miller, now played by Jason Thompson) genetic material and apparently created his child, Bella.

She returned to Genoa City with said daughter in her arms and then helped Victor (Eric Braeden) to attack Adam (Justin Hartley) with disguised. She also told Kevin an apparent diversionary story about another man being Bella’s father.

There are some points to Chloe’s credit that must be explored. Since no on-screen confirmation has yet to be offered, it’s fair to wonder if she actually did connect with someone other than Billy when she was in California? No DNA test results have appeared yet, although Chloe was alarmed when Kevin discovered a mysterious shoe box in her closet late last year.

No justification exists for what Chloe did to Adam. Framing him for a murder neither he nor anyone else ever committed was totally wrong. After Victor orchestrated Adam’s escape from the pen, Chloe shot him with a dart gun but probably didn’t blow up the woodsy cabin he laid unconscious in. While she’s responsible for those terrible actions, Victor surely manipulated this lady who still hasn’t recovered from Delia’s (Sophie Pollono) accidental death. Chloe blames Adam, who may well be innocent.

As far as Kevin is concerned, Chloe does care about him. But viewers know that he’s been far more honest with his ex-wife than she’s been with him. Chloe hasn’t fully used Kevin, yet also hasn’t shared the entire truth with him either.

If personality patterns repeat Chloe will withhold critical information from everyone who cares about her and Bella. So while she’s counting her blessings, there’s no doubt that trouble lies ahead because Chloe’s secrets can’t stay covered forever, or even until spring.
