The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane Drops Baby News – Masterfully Linked Scenes Drive Reveal Home

Cane (Daniel Goddard) dreaded telling the twins his unwanted news on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But he knew that Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) deserved to know the truth. Juliet (Laur Allen) is carrying a baby that is their sibling.

Y&R creatively split the building scenes, as Lily (Christel Khalil) began talking to Mattie at home, while Cane and Charlie had brief sit-down at Crimson Lights. A visual back-and-forth proceed until Cane’s first two children were simultaneously stunned.

Charlie couldn’t accept what he heard. So he left his dad at Sharon’s (Sharon) coffee house. Cane followed, arriving home moments after his son.

Mattie had started crying while standing aside of her mom when the Ashby men joined them. Well, while tall, Charlie is still a boy and Mattie is a girl.

Viewers have understood for awhile why Y&R SORAS’d the twins to high school junior status. The developing storyline that recently climaxed wouldn’t have allowed children, who were approximately 10 years younger than the characters Stevenson and Gerry now embody, to have understood what has transpired.

Both young actors have blended nicely into the cast. Stevenson has been offered more textured dialogue to-date. Her brainy character is an interesting contrast to Charlie’s jock.

This author was uncertain about many points as this arc has been playing out. Was Goddard’s character being written too far out of character? Did the seemingly invented ‘Lane’ split feel believable?

However, the addition of Stevenson and Gerry distinctively deepens ‘Lane’. At the same time Juliet and the baby she’s having injects a different type of drama than Cane and Lily have ever dealt with before. So, despite the pushed nature of Cane’s descent this heavy storyline does work.

Y&R made the right choice by altering the trajectory of ‘Lane’s’ life. That’s why the short- and long-term future of this particular family is very intriguing. Within the last year Lily and Cane remained likeable, but weren’t doing anything collectively engaging. Kudos on the new approach.
