The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Brash and Sassy Adventures – Personality Mix Creates Compelling Drama

Vickie (Amelia Heinle) greenlighted Billy’s (Jason Thompson) Professional Hockey League idea on ‘The Young and theRestless’. Part of that promotional deal now has Brash and Sassy’s team heading to California. The certainty of personality clashes and resulting soapy drama has therefore been established.

Y&R crafted an intriguing scenario that has now become even more compelling. As viewers recall, Billy took hold of the Brash and Sassy brand last year. Then Jill (Jess Walton) swooped in and gained control.

With Walton’s character about to be written out of the show for awhile, Jill decided to sell her company to the three main players (Billy, Vickie and Cane, Daniel Goddard) that she’d hired to run the business. However, Vickie acted assertively and became its sole owner.

Three additional players have been added into the mix since Vickie took Victor’s (Eric Braeden) advice about regaining the Newman Enterprises division she first led. Lily (Christel Khalil) was recruited to fill in for a model who couldn’t make a shoot and has since become the face of the company.

Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) was invented to become the modern version of photog Malcom Winters (Shemar Moore). Finally, Juliet (Laur Allen) was hired by Vickie after, uh, helping Cane in Asia.

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) isn’t part of the team, but has become Billy’s girlfriend. That hasn’t stopped Vickie from pursuing her ex-husband, which is part of her Los Angeles adventure plan. Miss Newman wants to remind Billy what ‘Villy’s’ life with the kids was like, which also means pushing Phyllis out.

Cane remains understandably conflicted on two fronts. Business wise he’s constantly reminded of Vickie’s girlish affection for Billy, which often overtakes sound business decisions. Secondly, the incident that apparently happened in Tokyo, Japan, with Juliet makes ongoing contact with that co-worker toxic.

Jordan just put Hilary (Mishael Morgan) in a relationship time out. He’s obviously fond of Lily. So if ‘Lane’ goes south, there’s significant potential for something to ignite between him and his Brash and Sassy muse.

All factors noted have allowed the former Jabot lab setting to have been nicely transformed into an engaging daytime destination. Yes, this part of Y&R’s overall storyline has become cool and compelling.
