The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Abby Dates Zack – Scott is Backup Boyfriend Plan

Abby (Melissa Ordway) has agreed to a first date with Zack (Ryan Ashton) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But it seems that a telegraphed couple will eventually match Scott (Daniel Hall) with Miss Newman as well. Yes, he’s definitely her backup boyfriend plan.

Oh, she won’t admit it, even to herself. But Abby likes Scott a lot. He finds her amusing, but also attractive. There’s chemistry between this pair and percolation time has been built into the plot this summer, despite Scott’s current commitment to Sharon (Sharon Case).

Zack is the new character that has some type of bad personal connection to Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). Apparently they were involved in a bad situation that Tessa wants to forget.

Whether they were romantically involved, or instead might be a brother and sister who simply didn’t get along has yet to be confirmed by Y&R’s writers.

As viewers wait to learn more about both parties, Zack is becoming involved with Abby. He initially pitched a start-up business idea that was accepted for the incubator idea Victor (Eric Braeden) has now endorsed. Now he’s taken the next step and is using his dating app idea to actually date Abby.

Tessa was chilled the moment she saw Zack a few weeks ago. She advised Noah (Robert Adamson) about what happened, but didn’t provide many details.

Noah is a protective soul. Viewers haven’t forgotten what happened to Courtney (Kelli Goss) two years ago. Her death left a lasting impression on Noah, as it would anyone.

Hopefully Zack isn’t revealed to be like Mark Harding (Chris McKenna), who was living a double life. As Y&R fans recall, detective Harding was the surprise reveal killer who was working for Marco (Peter Bergman). He eliminated Courtney.

Abby’s been focused on her career since she unceremoniously dumped her husband ‘Stitch’ (Sean Carrigan) months ago. Zack may become her first true romantic interest after Dr. Rayburn. Then, she’ll eventually connect with Scott as well.
