The Young and the Restless Alum Corey Sligh Indicted On Two Felony Counts of Child MolestationNew reports indicate that former ‘The Young and the Restless’ star Corey Sligh has been indicted by a federal grand jury on two felony counts of child molestation. Corey had a recurring role as a bartender on the ‘Young and the Restless’ back in 2014.

TMZ obtained documents that reveal the grand jury’s indictment and Corey’s arraignment. The allegations made in the legal documents detail a disturbing incident between Corey and an underage girl.

Back in 2016, Corey was arrested and booked for child molestation after having inappropriate contact with a 10-year-old girl inside his home in Georgia.

Corey was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office after the victim’s parent went to the police and reported the incident. He was released the same day of his arrest on a $22,000 bond.

This isn’t the first time that Corey has made the news for his troubled personal life. In 2014, he made headlines after he was brutally beaten by a group of thugs. In 2015 he filed a lawsuit against Rite Aid because the chain store owned the parking lot that he was attacked in. Corey hasn’t returned to ‘The Young and the Restless’ and hasn’t had any other projects or films in the pipeline since his attack.

Corey’s arraignment will be held next month. If convicted, he faces up to twenty years in prison.

So far Corey Sligh himself has not made any comments about the case although at this point it’s doubtful that he will. In the meantime, don’t forget to check back with Soap Opera Spy for all the latest news and updates along with ‘The Young and the Restless’ spoilers right here.
