“The Bold and The Beautiful” fans seem to enjoy watching past characters return to the show. We all love seeing that old friend where you pick up right where you left off as no time has passed. Well, for John McCook (Eric Forrester) and Ian Buchanan (Dr. James Warwick) that was exactly how it felt. John McCook first appeared as Eric Forrester back in 1987 when “The Bold and The Beautiful” originated, with Ian Buchanan joining in 1993, as Dr. James Warwick.
“The Bold and The Beautiful” actor John McCook shared with ‘Soaps in Depth’, that back in the ‘90’s Peter Bergman, who plays Jack Abbott on CBS’s “The Young and The Restless”, would often come over and visit.
John McCook dressing room continues to be the place to hang out and share stories of their experiences as actors. “Well, one time when Peter was here he made the comment ‘My dressing room over at “The Young and The Restless” is Edward Albee (an American playwright), and then I come over here to “The Bold and The Beautiful”, and it is Noel Coward (an English playwright) [laughs],’ which I thought was a very astute observation.” John McCook noted.

“The Bold and The Beautiful” sources share that Ian Buchanan is indeed a very charismatic charming man, who definitely brings that dry English wit. “He’s a very smart and talented fellow, and it’s lovely to work with him again.” shared John McCook. Ian Buchanan talent very much shines through in his work. It is always interesting to watch him and Kimberlin Brown (Shelia Carter) interact on the show. Ian seems to have great chemistry with all he works with.
