Have “Neighbors,” viewers seen the last of new mother Paige Smith? In a shocking turn of events, the pretty brunette woman delivered baby Gabriel, but almost immediately she left town with her son. Given Paige’s complicated circumstances, will she ever return?
Or will Paige choose to raise the baby with her mother, on the Gold Coast? That’s where she and her newborn went, just days after Gabriel was born. Why the sudden transition? Wouldn’t it have been wise to let mother and baby settle a bit first, before making such a drastic move?

There is no doubt that Paige is delighting in her newfound motherhood. But she can’t exactly throw a big, cheery christening party since the father is, um, a father. As in Father Jack Callahan.
That’s right, Paige and Jack were intimate, despite his vows forbidding such a thing. There’s no doubt that Father Jack wants the best for Paige and the baby, but he has no intention of abandoning his faith. Maybe they should have thought of that before they got to know each other better?
Further complicating matters, Paige had had difficulty breastfeeding. This in turn has compounded her post-childbirth distress. Seeing Paige’s difficulty, Father Jack takes a stab at making the situation better. He suggests that Paige and their son go to the Gold Coast to see her mother, Lauren.
Paige refused at first, because she wanted Jack and Gabriel to form a connection. But, Paige later realized that she does want to be with her mother at this time, and decided to go. Perhaps she also realized that it would be a bit awkward for Jack and Gabriel to openly bond?
