General Hospital Star John J. York Announces Birth Of Grandson, Congrats!

John J York has a lot of celebrating to do! The ‘General Hospital’ star has announced that he has just become a grandfather for the first time. The beloved soap opera star shared a photo of him, his wife Vicki Manners and his new grandson Elijah Gabriel on his Instagram account. John plays ‘Mac’ Scorpio on the hit ABC soap.

John captioned his photo with, “Meet our Grandson, Elijah Gabriel mom, dad and baby are fine, gramma and grandpa are a MESS.”

John announced that his daughter Schyler York was expecting her first child on Father’s Day. He shared a throwback photo of the daddy and daughter duo and said that his baby is expecting a baby of her own.

John is one of the few ‘General Hospital’ actors that has managed to play the same character for almost three decades now. He made his debut on the show back in February 1991.

So far John hasn’t made any additional comments about the newest member of his family. But seeing how excited he is about his grandson, there’s no doubt that he’s going to be a fantastic, hands-on grandfather. Congratulations to John, his daughter and his entire family.
