General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Walks Away from Mob Life? Only Way To Keep Carly

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) intends to leave the mob life behind him. Any fan of Sonny knows this has got to be a difficult decision but he really doesn’t have any choice if he plans to live a long happy life with the love of his life, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

There have been many factors leading up to this drastic decision, but is it really plausible as most know you cannot escape the mob life as misdeeds could come back to haunt you at any time and traditionally one of your descendants is to take your place, but Sonny has no one to pass it onto as Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) refuses to be involved in anything that has to do with Sonny’s illegal activities.

Of course, 2016 was a profound year for General Hospital’s Sonny and after the attempt on his and Carly’s life in Puerto Rico, Sonny informs Carly of his plans. Carly is ecstatic believing Sonny truly means it this time; but will it be as easy as he’s told her it will be? After the tragic death of their son, Morgan (Bryan Craig) who was caught in a mob car bombing gone wrong, it only makes sense that Sonny would want to leave the violence behind him.

GH fans know that Sonny has no idea what he is in for other than he knows him and Carly are back together, and he will do anything to make it work; too bad their reunion will be met with some resistance.

Carly’s daughter, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) is strongly opposed to Sonny being any where near her mother, especially after he had her father, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) deported and unable to return to American soil. Joss may not seem as much as a threat as she has been very vocal about it, but there is someone who is far more dangerous than the angry teen: Samantha “Sam” Morgan (Kelly Monaco).

General Hospital’s Sam has been struggling lately; it is unclear what has triggered her latest rage but it is clear the only person she is furious with is Sonny. Her husband, Jason (Billy Miller) has reassured her time and time again that he will not go back as Sonny’s enforcer, but she clearly feels insecure about it.
