General Hospital Recap Thursday May 4: Tracy’s Emotional Goodbye – Anthony Geary Appears – CarSon Divorce Turns Nasty – Amy And Nathan Get Closer

Thursday’s May 4 episode of General Hospital begins with Tracy (Jane Elliott) telling everyone time has come for her to step out of Edward’s shadow. She can’t do it while living in Port Charles. She’s leaving. “I’ve called you all here to say goodbye”. She’s making a new life somewhere. The proceeds from the sale of the painting will be enough. Pizza is delivered for their brunch. Tracy has made up her mind and no one can change it.

Tracy tells Dillon he has a big heart and that makes him the strongest Quartermaine. Tracy is glad the house will have another Edward Quartermaine living it. Ned is her rock. He always has been and always will be. Lulu (Emme Ryan) tells Tracy how proud she is of her.
Tracy has always been Lulu’s hero. Tracy tells Laura (Genie Francis) she has a wonderful daughter. Laura thanks Tracy for being the Mother to Lulu when she couldn’t. Tracy thanks Laura for going to Turkey with her.

Monica tells Tracy the jet is fueled and ready to take off. Her car will arrive soon. Monica doesn’t know what she’s going to do without Tracy. Monica tells Tracy she went from being a sister-in-law to sister. “If you thought I hated you, I didn’t. I love you”.
Finn (Michael Easton) tells Tracy he’s never had a friend like her. Hayden (Rebecca Budig) knows Tracy doesn’t trust anyone until they’ve earned it. Tracy reminds Finn how he talked to her about having limited time. She looks at Hayden (Rebecca Budig) and says they need to quit wasting it.
Tracy tells Michael to keep ELQ turning profits. She tells Dillon she expects to be invited to a premiere sooner than later and suggests ELQ help finance it. Tracy tells Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) that Ned has a bad habit taking care of everyone. She’s grateful Olivia will be taking care of Ned. Tracy tells Monica she’s worried about her decorating ideas. Monica says she’ll leave their house as she left it. Tracy says don’t you mean your house. Monica says she meant it the way she said it. Tracy walks out the door and then runs back inside straight to Monica. They hug and Tracy leaves for good this time.
Ned tells Olivia he feels the family is getting smaller by the day. Olivia tells him Olivia Quartermaine has a nice ring to it. Port Charles is their home and someone needs to look after it. Why not Ned and Olivia Quartermaine?
Tracy arrives to the broker and wants to close the deal as soon as possible. He has a buyer willing to pay $60 million for the painting. Tracy signs the agreement. She mentions needing a good cup of coffee. He tells her there is a wonderful little coffee shop across the street. Tracy leaves and walks in the coffee shop and sees Luke sitting at a table.
Nathan (Ryan Paevey) arrives home to his clean apartment. The roses and card saying “I love you” are on the coffee table. Nathan tears up the card. Amy (Risa Dorken) stops by to see Maxie (Kirsten Storms). Amy has to do all the work for the Nurses Ball since Maxie isn’t. Amy thinks Maxie is the “same self-centered witch she always was”. Nathan explains that Maxie is staying in Portland for now. Amy tells him about wanting to be a cheerleader in high school like Maxie. Amy heard a rumor that Maxie made a negative comment about her looks. Amy likes the way she looks. Nathan reminds Amy that was years ago and modern day Maxie would not act like that.
Nathan is concerned if Maxie has room for him in her life. Amy reassures Nathan. Nathan thanks Amy for the good advice. Nathan is sorry Maxie flaked on Amy. Amy says the show must go on. Nathan offers to help her with it however he can. Amy leaves. Once outside she opens her purse and removes a picture of Nathan and Maxie. She tears Maxie out of the picture.
Carly (Laura Wright) introduces her lawyer Martina (Daya Vaidya) to Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) and Sonny (Maurice Benard). Diane says Sonny will keep all his assets but Martina interrupts. Sonny gave those to Carly. Diane argues Sonny has equal rights to the assets. Martina brings up Sonny possibility having off shore accounts. Carly reminds Martina she doesn’t want his off shore accounts brought into this divorce. Sonny tries to convince Carly to only take what they brought into the marriage. Carly refuses and feels Sonny needs to pay for consequences. Carly tells Sonny see you in court and stomps out of the room. Diane leaves to set up a session with a mediator.
In the hallway Diane tells Carly they aren’t the first couple to divorce after a death in the family. Carly has to be the bigger person. Carly says she can’t do it this time. Diane is about to regret what she has to do and ultimately Sonny and Carly will too.
Sonny asks Martina what kind of game she is playing. Martina denies knowing who he was. Sonny wants to come clean immediately but Martina says no way. She fears of being disbarred. Martina tells Sonny she’s going to continue to represent Carly. It was a chance meeting between two strangers and never speak of it again. Sonny reluctantly agrees. Carly walks in and asks what’s going on. Martina covers and offers to walk Carly to her car.
