General Hospital POLL: Steve Burton is Back – Are You Happy to See Him Return – Yay or Nay? VOTE!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers confirmed yesterday that Steve Burton is returning to the ABC hit daytime drama series during a commercial break on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 episode. How do you feel about the surprising announcement?

The powers that be at General Hospital have caused a huge rift with fans as some are happy with Billy Miller portraying the character of Jason Morgan, while others feel that Steve Burton has always been and always will be the one true Jason; fans need to remember that the announcement said Steve Burton was returning, they didn’t say who he will be portraying!

GH’s Steve Burton had been on the ABC soap opera for over 20 years, portraying Jason Quartermaine/Morgan off and on since 1999.

He decided to leave the ABC daytime drama and joined CBS’ The Young and the Restless (Y&R) as Dylan McAvoy, son of prominent Genoa City figures Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and GCPD Police Chief, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson); he remained on the series from 2013 until early 2017.

When Billy Miller joined General Hospital, many felt the shoes he had to fill were too big and no one could accept him as their new Jason Morgan but he managed to win over the hearts of many fans so when it was announced Burton would be coming back; we all wondered how the two would fit in on the show together and what kind of storyline would make it work. How do you think it will play out having the current Jason Morgan and the old school Jason Morgan in Port Charles at the same time?

Currently on GH, Jason’s wife, Samantha “Sam” Morgan (Kelly Monaco) is suffering from hallucinations, forgetfulness and anxiety. She hasn’t revealed to anyone the severity of it, but it all seems to focus around Jason and his safety; she constantly fears that he is going to die and has already blamed his best friend and mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and is determined to keep Jason far away from him. It will be interesting to see how this story will unfold with Burton’s impending return.
