General Hospital News: Maurice Benard Reveals Whether Or Not Vanessa Marcil Is Returning To GH

The General Hospital rumor mill has been in overdrive lately regarding a possible Vanessa Marcil return to GH as fan favorite Brenda, Sonny Corinthos’ ex.

Recently Vanessa Marcil has been teasing an acting gig that she has been working on through her social media accounts.  Immediately speculation kicked off that the scenes she was filming were for GH.  Plus, there seems to be an opening for her in Port Charles now that sonny and Carly are on the rocks.  Who better to hold Sonny’s hand through his messy divorce?

Maurice Benard took to Twitter for a Q&A session with fans this week, and one of the questions he was asked was regarding Vanessa’s rumored return.  It turns out that she is NOT filming for the ABC soap right now, and judging from Maurice’s response, she won’t be any time soon.  Sorry guys!

A fan asked Maurice, “Do you think Brenda will be back? That would sure stir the pot with Carly.”  Benard answered, “I definitely agree with you, but Vanessa seems busy.”
