‘General Hospital’ News: Maurice Benard & Bryan Craig Tease Possible Morgan Corinthos’ Return?

‘General Hospital’ Maurice Benard [Sonny Corinthos] opened up for a Twitter Talk on Thursday, January 12. The actor chatted with fans for about an hour, and to the surprise of many, Bryan Craig [former Morgan Corinthos] jumped in immediately with a quick question.

When Bryan asked, “Do you miss your son Morgan?” after Maurice opened up the conversation. Maurice responded “Come back home crazy child.” Then Bryan got fans really buzzing when he replied, “maybe I’m not…..” with a thinking face emoji. Maurice reply to that comment was a very happy clown face.

Is Bryan Craig returning to ‘General Hospital’ or not? Early ‘GH’ spoilers indicated that there was a possibility Blake Berris [‘Days of Our Lives’ Nick Fallon] had been cast as the back from the dead Morgan. It turned out that Berris will fill in for Bradford Anderson as Damien Spinelli.

‘GH’ fans want Morgan back in Port Charles, but more importantly viewers want Bryan Craig to resume the role for which he won the 2016 Emmy for “Outstanding Younger Actor in Daytime Series.” Bryan is nominated in the same category this year for his portrayal of Morgan.

Multiple fans commented on Maurice Benard and Bryan Craig’s Twitter tease. With a resounding, yes, ‘General Hospital’ viewers want Bryan back as Morgan, replying that Port Charles hasn’t been the same.

When asked if Brenda Barrett [Vanessa Marcil] were to ever return to Port Charles would Sonny give her another chance. Maurice believes Brenda loves Jasper ‘Jax’ Jacks [Ingo Rademacher] and there could not be a Sonny and Brenda reunion.

Surprisingly, Maurice believes Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] really loves Jax and they belong together. Is that a tease that ‘GH’ viewers may see more and more of Jax in Port Charles? The last time Carly’s ex-husband was in town was for Morgan’s funeral.

Maurice wrapped up the Twitter talk with an answer to a ‘GH’ viewers question about how he manages to remain professional, poised and controlled on set while managing his bipolar disorder. The actor revealed that he meditates, prays and stays on his medications.

If Bryan Craig were to return to ‘General Hospital’ as Morgan that could reopen the storyline between father and son and how each manages their mental health care, and how they can help each other.
