Deena Payne Still Furious Over Emmerdale Exit

It’s been years since Deena Payne was last seen on Emmerdale, but it looks like she’s still having a hard time getting over how she was written off the show.

Fans remember Deena as one of the biggest names of the hit British soap drama. After all, she was on the show for years as outspoken and often unfiltered Viv Hope. Yet Deena says that it still hurts knowing that she could have had a better ending to the show.

Viv died alongside her husband Terry on the show. Her funeral was held in Essex. And now Deena says that she would have liked a better ending for her character’s fans. But unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

She told the hosts of Britain’s Loose Women in an interview, “A nice build up to something like Ashley Thomas had. And something topical that you can get your teeth into. It would’ve been nice. When you’ve worked in a soap and ridden the waves for 18 years it’s quite nice to be remembered for your exit, which I will be because I didn’t shout for help.”
