Days Of Our Lives News: DOOL Casting Shockers – Unexpected Exits, Big Returns, Exciting New Characters

Has Ron Carlivati created a sizzling hot, scorching new version of “Days of Our Lives?” Will the venerable soap even be recognizable when his stories begin airing in late summer? Fans can look forward to new head writer Carlivati’s (former head writer for “General Hospital”) exciting stories to begin airing in late summer. His reputation is one of fearless, cutting edge storytelling, and he’s sure to shake up the hourglass on his new sudser!

In the meantime, fans can expect lots of red-hot action in store this summer, as well as the introduction of bold and innovative stories going into the fall season.

Fans know that core characters Deimos Kiriakis (Vincent Irizarry) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) are set to exit, but “How?” is the big question. Both have behaved scandalously, but in the name of love, so don’t expect them to go gently into the good night. In fact, could their departures be tied together, seeing as how Deimos has an unrelenting love for Nicole and she desperately needs a savior right about now?

More drama is promised when Joey Johnson (James Lastovic) takes his leave of Salem, maybe when it’s revealed that he killed Ava, his half-brother’s mother? Tripp (Lucas Adams) thinks that Joey’s mom Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) did the dirty deed, but Joey’s guilty conscious is bound to trip him up sooner or later. Expect hothead Tripp to go a little crazy when the truth is finally revealed!

Even hotter action is in store with the return of two of daytime’s leading divas, Alison Sweeney (Sami) and Kassie DePaiva (Eve). The fans loved to hate Sami and the firecracker was a Salem fave for over 20 years. Eve was on the fast-track to becoming villainess of the year, and her return will no doubt upend several lives.
