Coronation Street Spoilers: Surprise Exit For Chesney Brown?

Brace yourselves for a shock departure Corrie fans, a fan fave may be about to exit. Has Chesney Brown, played by Sam Aston, had his fill of the cobbles?

Poor Chesney has had a difficult time living life lately, and recently his anxiety left two others in danger. The loveable redhead was the unfortunate victim of a stabbing that has since rendered him unable to cope.

Not only did the horrific incident take a toll on his body, it’s also robbed him of his self-confidence. Chesney was refusing to leave his home until he agreed to take Ruby Dobbs (Macy Alabi) and Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) out for the day, but that may have been his undoing.

His well-intentioned girlfriend Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) and his sister Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) decided that Chesney was in need of an intervention and they finally got him to agree to leave the house. But poor Chesney panicked while the trio were riding together on a bus, and the result was that he bolted, leaving the girls behind to fend for themselves.

Revealing location photos now show that the stress has taken a toll on Chesney, perhaps leading him to depart Weatherfield for good. The photos show Chesney and Tyrone Dobbs, played by Alan Halsall, saying an emotional goodbye prior to Chesney leaving for the airport. Sinead is not with Chesney, so does this signal that their relationship is over as well?

Details of Chesney’s trip are being kept top secret. We can only speculate on his destination, and whether he’s saying a final or a temporary goodbye to Tyrone.

One juicy detail we can disclose is that a casually dressed Chesney appears to be stopped in his tracks by a mystery phone call. Chesney listens intently to the other party while Tyrone looks on, with a puzzled
look on his face. Is Sinead the mystery caller, asking Chesney to come back home? Anything is possible on the cobbles!
