Apparently Nicola is the long ago offspring of Phelan and his best friend’s wife. According to TPTB, a complex and dramatic story will unfold once the Weatherfield dad and Nicola realize their connection. But how will other residents on the cobbles respond to Phelan’s grown child?

Showrunners promise that viewers will see an entirely different side of Phelan as he struggles to confront his past, and the daughter he had no idea existed. Will his daughter be able to tame Phelan’s out of control wild side? She is a social worker trained to rehabilitate the incorrigible, right?

Only time will tell how things shake out between these two polar-opposite members of society! But don’t expect Phelan to take it well if Nicola doesn’t return his interest in getting to know each other. Is the degenerate man capable of harming his own daughter?

Most Corrie fans know the back story that Nicola Rubenstein brings to the cobbles. Rubenstein after made news last year after she was fired from her job for refusing to wear high heels. The passionate activist decided to not take the decision sitting down and eventually won the support of hundreds of thousands of individuals. Nicola’s supporters joined in her efforts to change the law that allowed her firing.
