Who Will Win The 2016 Emmy For Outstanding Younger Actress? VOTE!

The nominees for 2016 Daytime Emmy Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series have been announced. Two young actress from ‘The Bold and the Beautiful,’  and one actress each from ‘General Hospital,’ ‘The Young and the Restless’ and ‘Days of Our Lives’ received nominations in this category.

Reign Edwards as Nicole Avant – The Bold and the Beautiful, CBS

Reign had a big year as Nicole and ‘B&B’ may cash in on the actress’s connection to Maya Forrester’s [Karla Mosley] transgender storyline. If you factor in Nicole as a surrogate for he sister Maya and brother-in-law Rick Forrester [Jacob Young] and the addition of Sasha [Felisha Cooper] and the now complicated relationship with Zende Forrester [Rome Flynn] and Reign may take home the Daytime Emmy in 2016.

Ashlyn Pearce as Aly Forrester – The Bold and the Beautiful, CBS

Aly got more time being talked about after her tragic death this year. But the final showdown between Aly and Steffy Forrester [Jacqueline MacInnes Wood] and her involvement in the groundbreaking transgender storyline could bring in the wing for Ashlyn.

Hunter King as Summer Newman – The Young and the Restless, CBS

Hunter took home the Daytime Emmy in this category in 2015 which, for some, makes her the sure bet to win again. Her quickie marriage to Austin and his subsequent murder brought Summer to the forefront in 2015. Summer’s storyline involving the investigation into Austin and Courtney’s deaths, working with all the young actors in the ‘Y&R’ cast may be the performance that makes it two in a row for Hunter.

True O’Brien as Paige Larson – Days of Our Lives, NBC

True O’Brien’s character Paige Larson may have been murdered by the Necktie Killer she still had time to make her mark over the past year. Paige was hit with so much heartache in the past year and the storylines True was given were probably powerful enough to put her close to winning this year.

Brooklyn Rae Silzer  Emma Drake – General Hospital, ABC

Brooklyn had ‘GH’ fans weeping with her final scenes before Emma left Port Charles with her parents Patrick Drake [Jason Thompson] and Robin Scorpio-Drake [Kimberly McCullough]. Brooklyn pulled off a storyline fit for the best of the best adult actresses. Brooklyn is the favorite to take home the Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series 2016
