Who Will Win The 2016 Emmy For Outstanding Younger Actor? VOTE!

The nominees for 2016 Daytime Emmy Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series have been announced. Three young actors from ‘General Hospital,’ one actor from ‘The Young and the Restless’ and one actor from ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ received nominations in this category.

Nicolas Bechtel as Spencer Cassadine – General Hospital, ABC

Nicolas as Spencer is definitely a fan favorite and quite the Port Charles charmer. Sometimes Spencer has more smarts and better instincts than many of the adults around him. Despite the fact that Spencer didn’t spend a lot of time in Port Charles this year, Nicolas did have an important storyline dealing with the aftermath of the fire that caused third degree burns to Spencer’s face. Does Nicolas have a chance to win in 2016?

Bryan Craig as Morgan Corinthos – General Hospital, ABC

Bryan gave a tour de force performance with Morgan’s storyline involving bipolar disorder. But factor in Morgan’s intense scenes with Ava Jerome [Maura West] and his complicated relationship with Kiki Jerome [Hayley Erin] and it’s difficult to deny that Bryan is the odds on favorite to take home the win this year.

Tequan Richmond as TJ Ashford – General Hospital, ABC

Tequan did not receive as much screen time as his fellow nominees, but the actor’s storyline involving racial profiling was a hot topic. TJ had some great scenes with Duke Lavery [Ian Buchanan] and Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] but were they powerful enough for the actor to take home the coveted golden statuette?

Max Ehrich as Fenmore Baldwin – The Young and the Restless, CBS

Unfortunately Max didn’t spend much time on the Y&R set over the past year. However, the storyline involving dad Michael Baldwin [Christian LeBlanc] could have been enough to win him a Daytime Emmy.

Pierson Fode as Thomas Forrester – The Bold and the Beautiful, CBS

Pierson had some very intense material to work with over the past year. From lusting after his father Ridge Forrester’s [Thorsten Kaye] wife Caroline Forrester [Linsey Godfrey] to having sex with a barely conscious Caroline, Thomas was all over the map this year. Pierson’s work could be enough to take the win home in 2016.
