Who Will Win The 2016 Emmy For Outstanding Actor & Actress? VOTE!

Several of daytime top stars has made the cut for the Outstanding Lead Actors and Actresses category for the upcoming Daytime Emmys. The announcemet which was made on Thursday included some of the best names in daytime history. With 2 actresses from Days of Our Lives, 1 actress and 3 actors from ‘The Young and the Restless’ and 2 actors and 2 actresses from ‘General Hospital’ nominated, we would like to know who you think will win.

In the lead actress we have the talented Kassie DePaiva (Ex-Eve) and Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) from Days. Both actresses had a really good year and fantastic storylines. Many believe Kassie will take this award home for her constant tears, weeping and mourning the loss of her beloved daughter. Evans had us crying with her as she dealt with the return of Steve (Stephen Nichols) and the loss of her brother Bo (Peter Reckell).

Finola Hughes (Anna) and Maura West (Ava) from General Hospital are another two to talk about. Both these ladies were given great material to work with. They had a full year of water works, many viewers had to reach for their tissue each time these ladies were on. Anna dealing with Duke’s (Ian Buchanan) death and Ava learning she has cancer and returning to stake full custody of her daughter Avery. Tracey E. Bergman (Lauren) the only actress who made the list from Y&R did excellent as well throughout the year, dealing with a husband suffering from cancer and refusing her love.

In the lead actor category, Y&R has 3 superb actors namely Christian LeBlanc (Michael), Kristoff St. John (Neil) and Justin Hartley (Adam). Many viewers believe the award will go to Hartley for the numerous heartwrenching scenes he was involved in for 2015. LeBlanc also has a good chance, having to a portray a character suffering from cancer and all. St. John was the drunkard of 2015, dealing with blindness and betrayal from his own flesh and blood, he could win as well. Then there are 2 great actors from GH; Anthony Geary (Luke) and Tyler Christopher (Nikolas). It is indeed a tough category when you have so many talented actors, Geary who had to face his past and finally get help and Tyler who changed and worked relentlessly to take over ELQ.
