‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday, September 7: Adam’s Memorial Brings Sorrow and Surprises – Phyllis Turns To Billy – Victor Surprises Chelsea

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, September 7, tease that Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) will discuss what Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is facing. At Top of the Tower, the preparations for Adam’s (Justin Hartley) memorial will be made. Nick will believe he needs to help Chelsea cope as she moves forward.

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) walks in and questions Sharon’s presence at the memorial. Sharon points out that she used to be married to Adam. When Michael (Christian LeBlanc) walks in, Sharon joins him for a chat. Meanwhile, Nick and Nikki clash over Victor’s (Eric Braeden) role in Adam’s ordeal. Nikki urges Nick to accept that Victor is miserable and hopes for redemption.

At the penthouse, Victor stops by and speaks with Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). He promises to protect his grandson. Chelsea doesn’t seem pleased, so Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) steps in. She takes Connor up to his room while Chelsea chews out Victor for starting all of this. She suggests that Connor isn’t Victor’s concern anymore.

Victor maintains that he’s still Connor’s grandfather. He mentions that the explosion wasn’t his fault, but he still feels like he’s to blame. Chelsea softens a little and Victor states that he won’t stand in her way if she wants to leave town with Connor. He insists that he’s deeply sorry for what happened.

Victor heads out and Chelsea speaks with Chloe. She notes that Victor appears to have changed somewhat. It’s obvious that he’d like to give Chelsea the proper closure. Elsewhere, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) talks to Travis (Michael Roark) about how her family will never be the same. She refuses to go on that Seattle business trip during the crisis.

Travis indicates that Billy (Jason Thompson) had something better to do as well. Victoria is curious at first, but she quickly determines that it doesn’t matter what Billy is up to. At the Chancellor mansion, Cane (Daniel Goddard) is irritated by Jill’s (Jess Walton) news that he’s been left out of the business trip. Billy urges Cane to go without Jill’s knowledge. Cane eventually goes along with the idea.

Billy leaves Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) a voicemail and later sends her a text. He notes that he won’t beg Phyllis to come, but he’ll be at the cabin if she’s interested. At Jabot, Phyllis disapproves when she hears Abby (Melissa Ordway) feeling sorry for Victor. Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) side with Abby, but Phyllis thinks Victor is just milking the pity party.

Abby gripes about how cold Phyllis is being and leaves with Ashley. Phyllis can’t believe that Jack plans to attend the memorial. She doesn’t get why Jack thinks they should just forget about Victor’s awful actions. Jack shouts that he’s going for Adam, not Victor. However, Jack will at least acknowledge Victor’s loss.

Phyllis contends that Jack must be a better person than she is. Jack tries to praise Phyllis’ good qualities, but she doesn’t agree that his statements are true. Phyllis takes the elevator and notices Billy’s text. She ends up at the cabin and finds Billy drinking. They talk about Victor and how he doesn’t deserve compassion. Phyllis feels like Billy understands her and they share a passionate kiss.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers say Cane will stir up some trouble. At the pool bar, Cane tricks Jill over the phone. He makes Jill think that Billy and Victoria are flying to Seattle for their trip as planned.

Back at Top of the Tower, Victor accepts hugs from Abby while Nick says hello to Chelsea and Chloe. Connor heads over to Adam’s portrait and Jack stoops down to offer some kind words. Jack also tells Victor that he’s sorry for his loss. Victor seems grateful that Jack reached out.

The memorial gets underway and Nick gives a speech about Adam. Victor takes his turn and suggests that Chelsea was a good influence. She helped Adam be a better person. Victor talks about Adam’s life ending so suddenly. He flashes a menacing look in Chloe’s direction and insists that he needs to explain.
It sounds like Victor’s anger is getting the best of him. Will he manage to hold his tongue? Regardless, Y&R rumors hint that major drama is brewing. Stick with the CBS soap for updates on how much Victor will spill.
