‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday, August 31: Connor Sick, Adam Wants To Turn Himself Him – Dylan Makes Tough Decision – Neil Faces His Mom

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, August 31, tease that Dylan (Steve Burton) will have to make a tough decision. At the police station, Paul (Doug Davidson) rants about Adam (Justin Hartley) going on the run. He wonders how Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) managed to sneak away with Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gabois).

Dylan looks at a security pic on his laptop. It shows Chelsea in a car and Dylan can see the license plate number. When Sharon (Sharon Case) appears, Dylan slams his laptop shut. He decides to take a quick break and they head off to the park. Dylan admits that he has a lead, but Nick (Joshua Morrow) urged him to let Adam keep his freedom.

Sharon listens as Dylan describes his predicament. He understands the situation Adam is facing. Dylan would do anything to be with Sharon and Sully. Sharon suggests that Nick is right. She thinks Dylan should let Adam and Chelsea go.

Dylan doesn’t want to put his career at risk or hurt his family. He’ll be committing a felony if he withholds evidence. Sharon wonders what Dylan will do about all of this, but he hasn’t made up his mind yet.

At the athletic club, Neil (Kristoff St. John) gets into an argument with Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil). They went to see Neil’s mom at an assisted living facility, but they weren’t allowed in. Only immediate family members are permitted.

Lily and Cane suggest that Lucinda (Nichelle Nichols) is quite sick. They think Neil should visit his mother before it’s too late, but he balks at the idea. Devon (Bryton James) continues to work on Neil. He encourages him to forgive his mom.

Devon informs Lily that Neil decided to visit Lucinda after all. At the assisted living facility, Neil gathers up the courage to enter his mother’s room. He announces that he’s Neil, her son.

At the cabin, Chelsea and Adam enjoy spending time with Connor. Adam teaches his son how to fish. Chelsea laughs at Adam as he struggles with the rod. Later, Chelsea notices Connor is tugging at his ear. She can tell he’s running a fever. Adam notes that Connor needs antibiotics. He says he’ll turn himself in so Connor can go to the hospital.

At Crimson Lights, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) points out that keeping Adam off the grid might be for the best. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) gripes about Adam strangling the guard, but Kevin doesn’t see the need to take another dad away from his kid. Despite the fact that Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) once targeted Adam, she agrees.

Kevin thinks Chloe and Bella (Cali May Kinder) will feel at home in Genoa City if Adam isn’t around. A short time later, Kevin and Chloe share a warm moment at the penthouse. Chloe notes that the place feels empty now. Kevin indicates that he has room for Bella and Chloe at his place, but Chloe turns down the offer. She thanks Kevin and gives him a little peck.

Elsewhere, “The Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that there’ll be another discussion about Adam’s fate. At Sharon’s place, Mariah complains about Kevin wanting Adam to go free. Sharon insists that Adam should be with Connor. Mariah and Sharon are both happy to have a loving family.

Back at the station, Dylan tells Paul that he might have some helpful evidence. He knows what the getaway car looks like. Y&R rumors hint that the investigation won’t go as planned. Will that mean good news or bad news for Adam? Stick with the CBS soap for updates on what’s in store.
