‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, December 8: Jack and Billy Battle, Traci Intervenes – Phyllis Finally Lets Go – Lauren Hears Troubling News

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, December 8, tease that Jack (Peter Bergman) and Billy (Jason Thompson) will get into an explosive argument. At home, Jack orders Billy out and calls him an embarrassment to their family. Billy doesn’t think Jack is a saint either. He reminds Jack that his affair with Jill (Jess Walton) led to John’s (Jerry Douglas) stroke.

Traci (Beth Maitland) decides she’s had enough. She yells that John would be ashamed of them both. Later, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) speaks with Jack about his outrage. She points out that she’s not a real Abbott and wonders if Jack thinks she should be shut out of the family as well.

Jack contends that John always favored Ashley over his other kids. He adds that Ashley brought great success to Jabot. Jack thinks he should kick Brash and Sassy out of their office space, but Ashley says Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is the one Jack should punish. He doesn’t want to waste his time hating his ex.

Meanwhile, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) gives Victor (Eric Braeden) the news that she called off her engagement. Victor hears the circumstances and offers comfort. Nikki (Melody Scott Clifton) brings in a bridal gown, but Victoria tells her the wedding isn’t going to happen. She goes over the story, including the fact that Billy provided updates. Victoria is glad Billy was willing to tell her the truth.

At the athletic club, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) informs Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) that something came up and he needs to reschedule their anniversary plans. Lauren takes a phone call from work and tries to hide her distress. Michael leaves the room for a moment and Lauren tells Phyllis that profits are down at Fenmore’s. She’s still hoping everything will turn out OK.

Phyllis notes that she’s not really wanted at Jabot. She suggests she could whip up a proposal for Jill about going digital. Jack walks over and asks Lauren to be part of an event at the foundation. He talks Lauren into it and she exits. Phyllis mentions Lauren and Michael’s anniversary. She hints that they were able to work through their issues.

Jack notes that Phyllis left with Nick (Joshua Morrow) on Michael and Lauren’s wedding night. Talk turns to work and Jack gets agitated. Phyllis suggests Jack can fire her if he’s not happy. Jack makes a spiel about learning to let go. Phyllis determines that they’re truly over and Jack tells her this is goodbye.

In a suite, Michael moves forward with his early anniversary ideas. He has a blackjack table set up and Lauren is delighted. She recalls Michael’s proposal, which involved a casino theme. Lauren gets a call and tries to ignore it. Unfortunately, that just leaves her even more concerned about what’s happening at Fenmore’s.

Traci tells Billy that she won’t give up on achieving family peace. She heads off to get a Christmas tree. Billy helps Traci decorate a little later. He mentions that he was supposed to take the kids on Christmas because it was Victoria’s wedding day. Traci feels like they should come together as parents on Christmas morning.

Elsewhere, Victor and Ashley catch up on the latest family drama. They discuss Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) marriage troubles and Victoria’s failed romance. Ashley takes a look at some pictures of Christian and gives Victor a peck on the check as she heads out.

Ashley shows up to help trim the tree and chats with Traci about fixing the family. She feels like it will take a miracle to make Jack and Billy get along. At Victoria’s place, Billy arrives and suggests they should change their Christmas arrangement. He tells her she can have the children that day, but Victoria says it’s not necessary.

Other “The Young and the Restless” spoilers state that Victor will give Nikki a special gift. In his office, Victor hands Nikki a beautiful necklace. He tells her that he called for the jet and they can go wherever she’d like. Nikki is on board with that idea and wants to go pack.

It looks like some strong family bonds are being featured. Y&R rumors hint that Jack could even warm up to Billy soon. Stick with the CBS soap to see when Jack will finally put his anger aside.
