‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday July 18: Adam Pleads Guilty, Gets 30 Years – Chelsea Pulls Scalpel on Victor, Vows To Save Adam

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, July 18, tease that Dylan (Steve Burton) will mull over the facts of Adam’s (Justin Hartley) case. At home, Sharon (Sharon Case) listens to Dylan convey his frustration. He has a lot of unanswered questions. Sharon moves closer for a kiss as Mariah (Camryn Grimes) walks in.

Dylan exits and Mariah hints that she’d like to have what Sharon has with her hubby. They discuss Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and how he didn’t spill anything. Mariah starts to wonder if Sharon would be happier with her out of the house. She feels like she just reminds Sharon of the secret she’s keeping about Sully.

Later, Mariah calls Kevin and asks if she can have her old room back. Kevin agrees and fills Natalie (Mara McCaffray) in. She seems annoyed. Michael (Christian LeBlanc) arrives to give Natalie and Kevin updates on Adam’s decision to take a plea deal.

Elsewhere, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) watches the news and sees that Adam’s trial is about to get back in session. She stares at a picture of Delia (Sophie Pollono) and states that this is a big day. Chloe pulls out a lighter and consider burning the genuine journal entries. Instead, she places them in a drawer and dons a disguise.

At the penthouse, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) gripes to Adam about Victor (Eric Braeden). She thinks it’s ridiculous that Adam has to make a plea deal when he’s innocent. Chelsea assures Adam that she’ll get him out of this. She’s determined to find proof that will get Adam off the hook.

Adam turns to Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) and urges his son to take care of Mommy while Daddy is gone. When Michael shows up, Chelsea and Adam share a parting kiss. Adam heads off to accept his fate.

At the courthouse, Michael preps Adam on what to say. He points out that Adam doesn’t have to admit guilt. Adam just has to confess that the prosecution has too much evidence against him. Just outside, Chelsea wants Dylan to get some answers from Victor. She’s sure Vic knows where the real journal entries are.

Dylan arrives at the hospital and urges Victor to come clean. It’s now or never for Adam. Victor denies that he went back on any deal. He contends that there’s nothing he can do for Adam. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) pipes up that Victor truly loves his son. Dylan realizes he’s getting nowhere, so he returns to the courthouse and tells Chelsea he came up empty handed.

Adam’s trial resumes and he pleads guilty. The judge sentences Adam to 30 years in prison and he’s taken away. Chelsea makes a statement to some reporters standing nearby. She vows to exonerate her husband. In his cell, Adam thinks about his family.

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Chelsea will waste no time in coming to Adam’s rescue. At the hospital, Chelsea makes a bold move to help her love. She enters Victor’s room and shoves a scalpel toward him. Chelsea calls Victor out for his lies and wants to know where he put the diary pages.

Dylan meets up with Kevin and learns he’s been hacking the security footage. They ponder the situation and decide that maybe the accomplice is tied to the locker. They plan on trying to establish a connection. Mariah appears and informs Dylan that she’s moving back in with Kevin.

Natalie spots Mariah and plants a big kiss on her beau. Kevin gives Mariah the keys and lets her know he won’t around for a while. Natalie and Kevin are going to work on the case at a hotel. Meanwhile, Dylan returns to Sharon and talks about what happened with Adam. He doesn’t think Adam deserves to be in prison.
