‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Hevon in Trouble – Devon Considers If He Wants To Remain Married

Devon (Bryton James) responded to Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) bad workplace behavior on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Beyond that issue the bigger problem is whether ‘Hevon’ can survive. A spouse should only have to tolerate so much before a decision is reached. As for Devon’s wife, she might be working her way out of paradise.

Did Hilary marry Devon for love, money or both? That unanswerable question will likely leak into 2017. If Mr. Hamilton is savvy, he’ll find a way to separate himself from Mrs. Trouble without losing his fortune, or his mind.

Longtime viewers are familiar with the Hamilton love story. Long story short for those who aren’t familiar with all the details: Hilary went back and forth between poor Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Devon after everyone (except Lily, Christel Khalil) forgave her for attacking the Winters’ family.

Hilary blamed Neil for allowing her mother to die from alcohol poisoning in a hotel room. After all was explained and apparently overcome, she wore Neil’s ring and then eventually Devon’s. Yes, that soapy story was a bit much.

Make no mistake, Devon remains drawn to this very attractive and highly energetic person. If she didn’t embody either quality would Hilary have ever married Neil, or his adopted son? The answer is almost certainly no in both instances.

Regarding current day affairs – Katherine’s (Jeanne Cooper) billions are still resting in her grandson Devon’s bank account and working in his various business enterprises. One of them, GC Buzz, was supposed to be the outlet that allowed Hilary project her creative energies in positive directions.

But Hilary continues to demonstrate a pattern of serial behavior that appears to be uncontrollable. Other than his voluntary connection to Hilary, Devon has always been a standup guy. Whether he’ll continue to remain linked to the woman he loves is unknown. Devon has options, regardless of whatever amount of money Hilary might take if they were to go their separate ways.
