‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, Sept 9: Phyllis Tells Jack She’s Been Lying – Sharon Freaks At Dylan – Jill Blasts Billy, She Has Chest Pains

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, September 9, tease that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will get a stern lecture from Jill (Jess Walton). At Top of the Tower, Jill chews out Phyllis for being so obvious. She claims it’s evident that Phyllis and Billy (Jason Thompson) just had sex. Jill also points out that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) has been growing suspicious.

Meanwhile, Jack (Peter Bergman) expresses his gratitude to Billy. He feels like Billy stopped Phyllis from doing something she’d regret. Billy looks uncomfortable and Jack wonders if he’s wrong to make that assumption. After Billy reconvenes with Jill, they make a quick getaway. Jack tells Phyllis that he realizes what’s going on. He wants to speak with his wife privately.

At the hospital, Stitch (Sean Carrigan) checks in with Abby (Melissa Ordway). He suggests that they need to talk about a few things. Dylan (Steve Burton) interrupts with a request for Stitch. He wants some follow-up tests on the DNA evidence found at the cabin. Dylan believes the original analysis was rushed. Stitch takes it as a hint that Adam (Justin Hartley) might still be alive and agrees to do this favor off the record.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers say Summer (Hunter King) will give Paul (Doug Davidson) a statement regarding Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva). At the police station, Paul finishes up with Summer and she sees Luca in lockup. He says he loved Summer and he knows she loved him. Summer gripes about Luca’s scam and starts to leave.

Luca reaches through the bars to grasp Summer’s arm. He regrets ruining their chances for a future together. Luca assures Summer that he may have had a scheme in play initially, but he truly fell for her. As Luca is led away, Summer reveals that she could never hate him.

At Sharon’s (Sharon Case) house, she tells Mariah (Camryn Grimes) about her fears. Dylan won’t stop going after Victor (Eric Braeden) and it could lead to bad news. Sharon is concerned about Dylan being targeted. She even wonders if Victor could expose the truth about Sully.

Mariah warns Sharon that she could sabotage herself with all of her anxiety. She doesn’t want Sharon to lose control. Stitch shows up looking for Dylan. Sharon thinks Stitch must have updates on Adam’s case. She states that Dylan’s investigation is dangerous and asks Stitch not to help.

Dylan walks in and realizes Sharon is working against him. Stitch claims that the new forensic results backed up the old ones. He says Adam is dead. Dylan doesn’t trust that Stitch is telling the truth. He asks if Stitch even took it to the lab. Stitch thinks Dylan needs to drop the whole thing.

Later, Sharon reminds Dylan of how much he stands to lose. Dylan thinks he’ll be fine, but Sharon can’t get past the threat of Victor. At Crimson Lights, Abby and Summer talk about their relationships. Summer mentions speaking with Luca and Abby cries as she opens up about dealing with her marital problems. She was once deeply in love with Stitch, but now she can barely talk to him.

After Abby wraps up her chat with Summer, she heads to the athletic club. Stitch and Abby sit down to have a discussion. They both acknowledge that they’ve been distant. Stitch confesses that he wants another baby. It sounds like he believes it will bring them closer.

At the park, Jack apologizes to Phyllis for trying to force her into normalcy. He’s grateful that Billy could be Phyllis’ support. Jack recalls the Marco (Peter Bergman) ordeal and hints that looking at him must remind Phyllis of the pain. He gets choked up and doesn’t want Phyllis to give up on their marriage.

Phyllis breaks down over her guilt. Jack doesn’t think Phyllis has done anything wrong, but she admits she’s been lying to him. At the Chancellor mansion, Billy complains about Jill’s interference and shouts that she should stay out of his personal life. Jill refuses and gripes about the affair.

Billy notes that Jill’s past isn’t squeaky clean, but she indicates that this isn’t about her. They argue about whether or not Billy’s love for Phyllis is real. Jill erupts over what this will do to Jack and the Abbott family. As Jill rants, her agitation appears to cause her physical distress.

Based on Monday’s preview video, Y&R rumors hint that Jill may suffer a heart attack or at least something that mimics one. We’ll keep you posted as more details emerge. Stick with the CBS soap to see the intense drama ahead.
