‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Devon Should Have Listened To Lily – Crash Could Have Been Avoided

Anyone who thought that Lily (Christel Khalil) was behaving too brashly on ‘The Young and the Restless’ has been proven wrong. Whether those people admit their mistake is another story. But Devon (Bryton James) should have listened to his sister’s many warnings about Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) most recent wrongs, or he wouldn’t have ended up in the hospital struggling for his life.

There likely is a contingent of individuals within any family, group of so-called friends, co-workers, or whatever other conclave who mock the one person who stands up to the head manipulator. The souls of all enablers are revealed whenever they attack someone like Lily because in doing so they are actually siding with the Hilary’s of the world.

And the name Joe Clark (Scott Elrod) will not be thrown into the air by any distractor at this point without being swatted down. Everyone knows intentional mention of that name is nothing more than a red herring. Lily’s past moral crime has nothing to do with the matter at hand right now.

Cold and calculating, all users are generally similar. Plus, those personality types often bait segments of the public into supporting their me-first causes. Take, for instance, Hilary’s efforts at GC Buzz.

Dress a gossip monger up however one wishes. Paste an unearned tag of ‘journalist’ on her and she’s still the same inside. Yes, Hilary loves other people’s misery. But now she’s created some of her own.

The crocodile tears are flowing from Mrs. Hamilton’s eyes as she pleads for God to answer her prayers. “Please let Devon live!”, followed by a boo-hoo and two sniffles. Yes, a belief in something higher than herself is called on when matters are life-threatening.

Of course Devon used his own free will when he recklessly drove that sports car and crashed it hard. He’s also the one who chose to become ensnared in Hilary’s web to begin with. Yet no honest denials can be offered as to who set him off-course. Oh, that would be Hilary, as all who behave like her surely know.
