‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Colin Headed Back to Genoa City and Jill’s Side – What Trouble Will He Cause?

‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) will be returning to Genoa City in the new year. His first appearance will be on Monday, January 30 and fans can expect him to be sticking around longer this time. The reason he has been out of action is because he was also portraying the fan favorite role of Robert Scorpio on ABC’s General Hospital.

Fans were very excited when he posted his upcoming return to CBS’ Y&R, but when he sent out another tweet on his Twitter account, he told those who wanted to know about his GH status that he had no answers for them, and that being on both Daytime Soap Operas may be over.

Jess Walton who portrays his wife Jill on the Young and the Restless revealed recently that she is thrilled to have him back onscreen in Genoa City, and that it was important fans continued to see that side of her. Currently, fans see her as a tough business woman who is constantly meddling in her son Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) business and love life. Jill has been determined for months to reunite Billy with his ex-wife, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle); and now that Victoria has kicked newcomer, Travis Crawford (Michael Roark) to the curb, it is entirely possible that Jill may get her way.

When Colin is by her side, Jill seems like a kinder and calmer woman. She also has this funny and sarcastic side, that we usually see more of when Colin is around; which is odd considering how their marriage started out, and how many times he has conned her.

Jess Walton tells fans that The Young and the Restless is all about families in their various generations, and it is important to showcase that. Long-time dedicated fans know that and enjoy the older relationships as much as the younger ones, and that is what is so special about Y&R’s show and characters.
