Adam (Justin Hartley) originally rejected Victor’s (Eric Braeden) offer to return to the family business. That decision created the possibility that he’ll go to jail for his alleged role in the perceived murder of Constance Bingham (Sally Kellerman). But, if that happens, will Adam join Victor in jail on ‘The Young and the Restless’?
Victor’s peace offer could hardly be embraced as a goodwill gesture. Adam believes that he’s been framed by his father, who had someone forge Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) diary, thereby tagging him as the person who poisoned Constance. Victor’s confidant statement, regarding the real pages of Sage’s personal chronicle soon being revealed, combined with viewer knowledge that ‘The Mustache’ has been secretly working with Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), means that his offer to Adam is actually concocted blackmail.

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) was in favor of her husband severing ties with his father and Newman Enterprises on ‘The Young and the Restless’. However, after Adam informed her of Victor’s offer, she began to see matters through a philosophical lens. Chelsea then asked Adam to weigh the difference between working at Newman and being behind bars.
Adam is hoping that Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) continued efforts will reveal information about the mystery woman who was observed, via hacked prison video, meeting with Victor in Walworth’s heavily frequented visitor’s room. Michael knows that his brother’s edgy attempts to help Adam’s cause aren’t guaranteed to deliver admissible evidence. Yet, at this point, Kevin’s sleuthing might help his client to be cleared.

Of course, Adam could be admitted to the slammer while his father is miraculously freed from a 10-year sentence. But, various fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ would surely prefer to see scenes that involved Victor and Adam trading barbs behind bars. Unless he’s been transferred to another location, including Ian Ward (Ray Wise) in that chippy mix would certainly increase viewer pleasure even more.
